Today there was a new student. We went outside on the trail behind the Herrick House. We made a fire pit today. It was made in an area before the bridge but close to it. We collected twigs and other larger branches. I got matches from a strike box to get the fire going. For lunch, we cooked hot dogs on a stick and also put marshmellows on a stick. These were cooked quickly from the hotness of the fire. As we were heading out, some students and teachers, as well as me, we made some rock stacks. I made three stacks with at least two having four rocks in the stack. In the afternoon, we worked on the honey suckle project. We have made good progress, most of the sticks are peeled. I also sanded some down. Now I’m working on posting this blog post.
